Blatchford's Kitchen sits comfortably in the heart of Elanora Heights as a café with a distinctly local flavor and a slight deli twist. It's the kind of place that attracts both early risers looking for a solid coffee fix and locals in the midday rush hunting for a substantial sandwich or a quick brunch bite. With its combination of café and ham shop elements, it balances casual dining with a touch of gourmet, especially evident in their diverse menu offerings.

Regulars come here for more than just a caffeine hit—though the Campos coffee is consistently smooth and well-executed, often praised for its richness and attention to detail. Coffee lovers will find themselves returning, especially those who appreciate a well-made soy chai latte or a crafted espresso. The atmosphere tends to pulse with lunch-time energy, indicating popularity among workers and families alike, but mornings and late breakfasts provide a quieter window to enjoy something like their chilli scrambled eggs or avocado toast.

Food here leans on generous portions and bold flavors ranging from rustic sandwiches filled with house-cured meats to more elevated small dishes like Jamon with flatbread mushroom tarts or their Australian seafood paella. The sandwich list is particularly robust, with choices featuring quality fillings on sourdough and focaccia that cater to hearty appetites. The menu seems to evolve seasonally, keeping things fresh and encouraging repeat visits.

The café’s vibe is practical and unpretentious, defined by efficient service even when busy, spotlessly clean tables, and a welcoming, family-friendly feel. It’s a spot where locals might grab a take-away sandwich during work breaks or settle in for a casual weekend brunch with friends. The presence of a grazing board or table option also points towards catering for group gatherings or casual celebrations within the community.

Blatchford's Kitchen fits well in Elanora Heights' laid-back but quality-driven scene—it’s a space that works well for a quick, gourmet-style bite or a relaxed coffee catch-up. The best time to drop by is likely outside the peak lunch rush to soak in the calm atmosphere, but be prepared for bustling service during midday when it clearly serves as a neighborhood hub.

Excellent sandies (had the Argentinean steak sandwich on sourdough $24, sticky brewed chai large $8, Italian panino $19). Everything was EXCEPTIONAL. They were absolutely slammed at lunch time, yet we received our order in less than halfa, service was efficient and friendly, tables were spotlessly clean, best soy sticky chai I've had north of the bridge, both sandwiches were very generously filled - my steak sandy had the most tender steak within, no grizzle at all, and the zesty chimmichurri and aioli made it an absolute flavour bomb! The Italian panino was packed (I mean, PACKED!!) with great quality salumi - ham, salami, the freshest salad and creamy stracciatella cheese (stupidly delicious soft Italian shredded mozzarella cheese curds in cream). The tomatoes were next level, this place does not skimp on any level, we're extremely glad to have stopped off at this lovely spot for a weekday lunch!! Highly recommend the drive here, wherever you are in Sydney, it's worth it. Thanks a mill to the Blatchford's kitchen team, we'll be back!!

Blatchfords Kitchen is a rare good cafe find on the beaches. If you're a coffee lover, you’ll appreciate that they serve the best Campos coffeearound—smooth, rich, and made to perfection every single time. And don’t even get me started on the toasties. These are not your average café toasties—they're generously sized, packed with gourmet, authentic deli fillings that would impress even the fussiest Italian (speaking from experience!). Every bite is a reminder of what real food should taste like. What truly sets Blatchfords apart, though, is Chris—the owner and chef. He pours his heart into everything he creates. It’s rare to come across someone who not only makes beautiful food, but also takes the time to get to know his customers, genuinely valuing their feedback and taking pride in every detail. It’s old-school quality service with a personal touch, and it's become so rare these days. Blatchfords Kitchen feels like home—and once you go, you’ll be back again and again.

The food here is second to none, Chris and his team are absolutely amazing. It’s one of the best kept and hidden secrets of the Northern Beaches, the sweets here are phenomenal and if you go you must try this gentleman‘s food challenge which I did and it took me eight minutes and 46 seconds for the New. Record, the pastrami here is phenomenal very family orientated but such a local favourite that it’s become one of those in the know places, the sandwiches here in general are second to none and absolute treat for your taste buds. Oh and if you’re lucky enough to be around when Chris is cooking one of his famous paellas, I guarantee you’re gonna think you’re in someone else’s country on holidays love blatchford‘s kitchen.

We love it here! The coffees and puppycinos are made to perfection, the team are so patient and kind with my nervous pup. Like me he’s a big fan of Chris who works away in the kitchen crafting the most delicious made in house sweets and also savoury dishes (eggs and avocado smash are MVP’s). The service is the best in the beaches no request is too much and Bowie loves his cinos hand delivered and can’t pass up the homemade bone cookies. If you want great food that is made fresh from the loveliest people this is the place to go. Dog friendly and good value. No notes.

Up there for one of the best tasting Bacon & Egg rolls on the beaches, just add a hash brown to make it top notch. I always try and call in when I’m passing through Elanora Heights. Asides from the awesome food, Chris is always up for a chat if he’s not getting smashed in the kitchen! Great selection of sweet treats too but watching the ole waistline at the moment so will have to try them another day.

Great local cafe deli to grab a weekend breakfast or mid week lunch. We had fantastic coffees and dined in for eggs on toast which came with a lovely relish on the side. The ingredients were very fresh and I loved the bread choice it was the perfect size for breakfast. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The cakes and treats look so tasty, I look forward to trying these next time. We will definitely be back to our new favourite breakfast cafe. I highly recommend this cafe for a local feel and quality menu options.
